I apologize for this post if I have the wrong Micky DiMartino, but since it was published in the Providence Journal in Rhode Island, I am wondering if this is the Micky DiMartino who went to North Kingstown High School and graduated in 1972. If it is, she was a friend of mine and I am so sorry for your loss. If this is a different Micky DiMartino, then I am still sorry you lost someone who was so loved and respected by not only her family, but by her students and colleagues. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Ms.D was a remarkable woman! She was such a great friend and teacher that I will NEVER forget! Anytime I went to the the school it was such a great time seeing her smiling face!! I always had her in my heart not only as a teacher but a great friend! She was one of the only teachers that treated me as a friend and someone to look up too!! My heart was saddened when I heard the sad news! To her husband, son, daughter and brother Ms. D will always be in my heart and I send my condolences to you all! God bless and always cherish the memories you got make with her!!!!

Micky and I started teaching together the same year at Quabbin. I will always remember her bounding into the auditorium, and planting herself next to me saying we might as well be new together.
