Brookfield - Olive L. (Hooker) Zadroga, 94, of Brookfield, died on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Harrington Memorial Hospital.
Olive was pre-deceased by her husband of 50 years, Roman (Ray) Zadroga. She leaves her son and caregiver, Alan D. Zadroga of Brookfield; two daughters, Linda Vardeman and her husband Michael of Florida and Jill Nathanson of Athol; her grandchildren Kimberly Vardeman and her husband Tim, Meredith McCall and her husband Patrick, Amy McLean and her husband Joshua, and the Nathanson’s (Aaron, Shelly, Sarah, and Tracy [pre-deceased]); her niece, Nancy Nowak of Warren, and six other nieces and nephews. In addition, she leaves 13 great grandchildren and her three cousins, David, John and Sherry.
Olive was born in Ware, daughter of the late Albert and Elsie (Morrill) Hooker and was a lifelong resident of Brookfield. She was able to live independently in her own home up until shortly before her death.
Olive worked as a secretary for 25 years at the American Optical Company in Southbridge before retiring.
She was a long-time member of the Brookfield Congregational Church.
A graveside service for Olive will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 1:00pm in the Brookfield Cemetery, 34 West Main Street (Route 9), in Brookfield.
