Ware - George R. Renaud, 92, of Ware, died on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in West Brookfield.
He leaves his three children, Darell L. Renaud and his wife Karen of Valrico, Florida, Gregory P. Renaud and his wife Doriann of Concord, California, Lynn Shea and her husband Michael of Ware as well as his daughter-in-law Judith Renaud; seven grandchildren, James, Cindy, Geri, Jacqui, Jason Karra and Blake, and his sister, Frances Piche of Ware. George was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Berthiaume) Renaud as well as his seven siblings, Beatrice, Eleanor, Shirley, Lorraine, William, Robert and Claudette. He was born in Ware, son of the late William A. and Blanche (Mongeau) Renaud and was a life-long resident of Ware.
Mr. Renaud was a veteran of the United States Navy during WWII, serving on the USS Dennis J. Buckley. After returning from his service, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps. Following his service with the Army Air Corps, he remained a member of the Army National Guard. He was in active duty as a Recruiter for the Massachusetts National Guard, before retiring after 28 years of service to our country. He also worked as a Police Officer for the town of Ware for a number of years, was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 59, the Vietnam Veterans Association, and enjoyed playing golf.

Depending on the winter weather, a Committal Service with Military Honors for George will be held in the All Saints Church, 17 North Street in Ware on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 1:30PM.
