Duane J. Robinson

West Brookfield - Duane J. Robinson, 80, of West Brookfield, passed away one day after his birthday, at home, surrounded by the love of his family, on March 7, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.  He was born in Spencer, son of Harry G. Robinson and Doris M. (Boisjolie) Michajlou.

He will be forever missed by the love of his life, his wife for over 58 years, Ann M. (Lazarick) Robinson.  Duane will also be forever missed by his daughter, Lynn A. Munday and her fiancé Craig “Murph” Murphy of Southbridge, and his son, Brian S. Robinson and his fiancé Angela Koss of Warren. Duane is survived by his grandchildren, Shawn M. Robinson and his wife Samantha, Marissa L. Robinson and her partner Jesse DuBois, Erin N. Dashnaw and her husband Phil, Connor M. McNally and Kristen Mascitis, as well as his beloved great-grandchildren, Devin, Alexa, Layla, Emersyn and Wren. He is predeceased by his great-grandson, Jaeden E. Robinson.

Duane was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was so proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; spending time together as a family was so important to him. He worked most of his life in manufacturing. He was been a talented woodworker and could build or fix anything.  Prior to his decline in health, Duane loved playing golf and going to the casinos, where he enjoyed playing blackjack and dice.  He was very involved in the Boy Scouts at a young age, and became an Eagle Scout at age 12 with West Brookfield Pack #118.  Duane was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.

A graveside service for Duane will be held privately.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Wounded Warriors, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL, 32256 or The American Cancer Society, PO Box 1120, Framingham, MA 01701.
