Claudette L. (Dube) Dominie

Ware - Claudette L. (Dube) Dominie, 79, of Ware died on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She leaves behind those she cherished most, her husband, Leo F. Dominie, Sr. of Ware, her son, Leo F. Dominie, Jr. of Ware, her daughter, Donna Delaney and her husband Michael of Springfield, her daughter, Sandra Springer and her husband Dan of Niles, IL, her son, Craig Dominie and his wife Lori of Lynchburg, VA, her daughter, Anita Deslauriers and her husband Christopher of Greensboro, NC, 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, her sisters, Ethel Fleming and her husband Jeff of Lunenburg and Helen Dube and her companion Raymond McBain of Worcester, and her brother, David Dube and his wife Dee of Orlando, FL. Claudette was predeceased by her sisters Anita Dube and Judith Murphy.  She was born in Millbury, daughter of the late Albert  and Laura (Lake) Dube.

Claudette worked in her younger years at Gavitt Wire in Brookfield as a Circuit Assembler before opening and operating her home daycare center for 17 years.  Later she dedicated 30 years working along side her husband at Leo F. Dominie, Sr. Cleaning in Ware.

Claudette was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She enjoyed spending her time reading, piecing together puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, attending the theatre, and most dear to her was time with family and friends.

A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 9:00 – 10:00AM in the Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant Street in Ware.  A private Funeral Mass will be held in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1076 Thorndike Street in Palmer.  Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Ware.  In accordance with COVID regulations, facial coverings and social distancing guidelines must be followed while in the funeral home and at the cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148, the Springfield Rescue Mission, 148 Taylor St, Springfield, MA 01105 or World Vision International, P.O. Box 9716, Federal Way, WA 98063.
