Anne M. (Pitisci) Koczur

Ware - Anne M. (Pitisci) Koczur, 78, of Ware, died peacefully on Monday, May 24, 2021, after a brief illness.

On December 23, 1942, she was born to the late Dominick and Mary (Cuzzola) Pitisci.  She graduated from Barre High School in 1960 and had various careers throughout her life before retiring from the Gabriel Narutowicz Club. She enjoyed reading, cooking, volunteering at the Senior Center, and playing the slots at the Casino. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and was always ready to feed you the minute you walked in the door.

A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she is survived by her children, Steven Koczur and his wife Annette of Gilbertville, Mary-Lynn Phillips and her husband Stephen of Westfield and Dean Koczur and his wife Jackie of Ware; her beloved grandchildren, Jake, Emily, Alyssa, Chloe, Jackson, Mia and Taylor; and great-grandchild, Sophia.  She leaves her sister, Patti Haskins, her brother, Ronald Pitisci, sister-in-law Becky, several nephews, and her special friends, Marie Stacy and Bev Anthony. Besides her parents, Anne was predeceased by her husband, Jake Koczur, and a sister Mary.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center for all the acts of kindness and compassion shown during Anne’s stay.

A Funeral Mass for Anne will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at 11:00 am in the All Saints Church, 17 North Street in Ware.  Calling hours will be held prior to mass from 9:30-10:30 am in the Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant Street in Ware. Burial will be in New St. William Cemetery following mass.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ware Senior Center, 1 Robbins Road, Ware, MA 01082 make check payable to the Town of Ware with Senior Center on the memo line, or to All Saints Church, 17 North Street, Ware, MA 01082.
