West Brookfield - Richard W. Seeton, 82, of West Brookfield passed peacefully in his home on December 30, surrounded by his loving family.
A lifelong resident of West Brookfield, Richard was born in Ware, Massachusetts to Helen (Bugbee) Seeton and Malcolm Seeton on March 3, 1936. He was a 1955 graduate of Warren High School. He leaves his high school sweetheart, Nancy (Colliss) Seeton, his wife of 61 years. Richard served his country in the United States Army in the 34th Signal Corp. in Ludwigsburg, Germany and the 850th Signal Corp. in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was employed at Warren Pumps of Warren, Massachusetts for 30 years.
Richard is survived by his wife, Nancy (Colliss) Seeton, daughter, Karen (Seeton) Kurr and her husband, Edward, daughter, Kelly (Seeton) Schlosstein and her husband, William, and son, Eric Seeton. He leaves seven grandchildren and twin great granddaughters.
A Funeral Mass for Richard will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 11:00AM in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in West Brookfield. Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 5 to 7PM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St. in West Brookfield. Donations may be made in his memory to the West Brookfield Rescue Squad, Inc., P.O. Box 540, or to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish, P.O. Box 563 both, West Brookfield, MA 01585.
