Hardwick - Richard D. Kane, 60, of Hardwick died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at his home.
He leaves his wife of 26 years, Deborah (Gray) Kane; his son, Adam Kane and his wife Chandel, and their children, Rosalie, Kaylie, Seth, and Dominic; two step-daughters, Julie Puliafico and her companion Marcel Gaumond and her daughter Denna Bjorklund, and Jennifer Bujnevicie and her husband Michael and their children Jacoby and Ella. He also leaves one brother, Henry Kane and his wife Kathleen, and four sisters, Suzanne Misiaszek and her husband Mark, Jacqueline Deslongchamp and her husband Paul, Jane Agnew and her husband Mike, and Denise Motyka and her husband Tom. Richard always looked forward to and will miss snowmobiling with his buddy Donny Prouty. He was predeceased by his very special dog and companion, Roxanne. He was born in Ware, son of the late Dennis and Rita Kane.
Richard worked as a Sanitation Technician at Rutland Sanitation Service, Inc. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed riding his 4 wheeler, snowmobiling on his Artic Cat snowmobile and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He always had some type of project or repair going on in his workshop, where he loved to spend his free time. Although somewhat quiet and shy, he was always proud to show off his “toys,”- all of which had an engine.
A Funeral Service for Richard will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11:00am in the Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., in Ware. Calling hours will be held from 9 to 11am prior to the service.
