Ware - Richard A. Cooper, 79, of Ware died on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at his home.
He leaves his wife of 35 years, Mary (Chaffee) Cooper of Ware; seven sons, Brian Cooper and his companion Kim of Worcester, Robert Tomlin and his wife Natalie of Cape Cod, George H. Tomlin and and his wife Cathy of Jefferson, Robert A. Cooper and his twin brother Ronald A. Cooper, both of Worcester, Joseph Tomlin and his wife Kimberly of West Warren, and David Cooper and his girlfriend Heather of Monson; two daughters, Rose Tomlin of Southbridge, and Tracy Tomlin of Ware; two brothers, Ronald Cooper of Tucson, AZ and Lawrence Cooper and his wife Terry of Florida; 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his very special dog, Daisy. He was born in Marlboro, son of the late Wilber F. and Virginia H. (Hodgkins) Cooper, and lived in Worcester and Holden prior to moving to Ware 12 years ago.
Richard worked as a computer programmer at Riley Stocker Corporation for 20 years. He was a jack-of-all-trades who liked to tinker and could fix virtually anything. He enjoyed N, O, and HO model train railroading, and spending time on his own computer at home too. Most of all though, he was a man who truly loved his large family and spending time with them.
Calling hours for Richard will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 2 to 4pm in the Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., in Ware.
