Eugene L. "Moose" Gaumond

Warren - Eugene L. “Moose” Gaumond, 53, was born January 13th, 1965, son of the late Gerard J. Gaumond and Marie E. “Betty” (Jolin) Gaumond.  He entered into eternal life with Christ on February 4th, 2018, after succumbing to a sudden heart attack at Harrington Memorial Hospital while surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his four loving children; Aric, Regina, Joseph, and Aidanne Gaumond, and their mother, Rebecca Sey.  He also leaves his brothers Francis, Andre, Edward, Kenneth, his sister Jeannine Sears and his mother-in-law, Pauline Sey; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, co-workers, and his church family at the Leicester Church of Christ.

He grew up in Sturbridge and graduated from Tantasqua Regional High School in 1984 where he took machine shop.  He was vocational school vice-president and captain of the football team.  He moved to Warren in 1994, and has worked as a machinist at Arland Tool & Mfg. in Sturbridge for the past 24 years.

Moose was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, and greatly loved spending time with his children in the North Woods of Maine.  He was a hardworking and devoted father who always provided for his family, as well as a devout Christian and American patriot.  He was also a capable handyman at home, enjoyed motorsports, skiing and getting involved in many activities with his children.  He took into his home a number of young people when they needed guidance and a roof over their heads, and was like a father to all.  He is dearly loved and will be deeply missed until we see him again.

A Funeral Service for Moose will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 10, 2018 in the Varnum Funeral Home Inc., 43 East Main St., in West Brookfield.  Calling hours will be held from 10AM to 12PM prior to the service.
