ROGER E KING

                   Roger E. King of Ware passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at the age of 78. Roger was born in Ware and lived there his entire life. He and his wife of 58 years, Carolyn, who passed away in April, raised their five children in a historic home that together they restored, it was one of his proudest achievements. He worked in construction, building structures throughout the Northeast with several companies before starting his own contracting company. He retired in 2000. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, shoot and play golf. He traveled to places like Anticosti Island and New Brunswick in Canada, Wyoming, Texas, and just recently went on his very first bear hunt. Roger was predeceased by his son Christopher, his parents Ernest and Ora King, and a sister Elaine (King) Moriarty. He is survived by his four daughters, Bonnie Christopher and her husband Rob, Wendy Barbiasz and her husband Tim, Melissa Delargy and her husband John, Amy Read and her husband Scott. He leaves six grandchildren Rebecca, Kelley, Chad, Katelyn, Nicholas and Isaak, and three great-grandchildren Radley, Maxwell and Lucille. All are welcome at a graveside service which will be held on Tuesday, November 29 at 11 AM in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Ware, MA.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Barre Sportsmans’ Club, 221 Spring Hill Road, Barre, MA 01005. Charbonneau Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
