Arthur R. Frost

Hardwick - Arthur R. Frost, 77, of Turkey Street, died on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

He leaves his loving wife of 52 years, Marilyn E. (Dupuis) Frost; a son, Arthur M. "Mitch" Frost and his wife Alicia of Hardwick; a daughter, Jennifer Marino and her husband Marc of Groton; a brother, Ronald Frost and his wife Nancy of Murrysville, PA, and six grandchildren, Keely, Emma, Ava, and Ellie Frost, and Pamela and Philip Marino. He was predeceased by his brother Lewis J. Frost.   He was born in South Hadley, son of Lewis W. and Gladys (Mitchell) Frost, and has lived in Hardwick for 50 years.

Mr. Frost graduated from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts.  He was an Agricultural teacher at North Brookfield High School for 15 years, and then owned and operated Lake View Farm where he ran a dairy farm for over 20 years. 

Arthur was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  He enjoyed working on historic tractors, and had a love of horses, which were ever present on the farm as well as cows.  He was also active in 4H, and was a former member of the Hardwick Finance Committee, and School Committee.

An Interment Funeral Service for Arthur will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 10AM in St. Aloysius Church, 64 Church St., Gilbertville.  Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 5 to 7PM in the Varnum Funeral Home, 43 East Main St., West Brookfield.  Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery following the service.
